Eek! Is my class pass/gift card going to expire before I am ready to come back in?
No! We have no expiration on pass cards or gift cards sold before 2021.
Cool. What are your COVID policies?
We require proof of vaccination and preregistration for every class, to manage class size. You can see how many mats are available and class capacity at our class schedule page. Each teacher sets their own capacity limits. Read our full COVID policies here.
Where do I send proof of vaccination?
Reply to the class confirmation email that asks you for it, or send it along to email@example.com. You’ll only need to do this once.
I missed the preregistration window/am on the wait list/am a rebel who likes to live on the edge. Can I “fly standby” and show up for class to sweet talk my way in?
Please do not. To manage class size in this COVID context, we don’t accommodate walk-in students, and it puts the teacher in a tough spot to have to turn you away. If a wait list spot opens up, we will email you and ask you to confirm that you can make it.
Hey, why does the schedule look different than before?
On April 19, 2021, we moved to a new scheduling software, Wellness Living. Existing students can log in with their email address, then choose password reset. You can log in or create a new account using the links at the top right of every page on our site.
Hey, why does the pricing look different than before?
We simplified it! We’ve introduced memberships that bring the per-class rate below our previous discounts and that encourage you to maintain a regular practice. That’s where the magic happens. See all the pricing options here.
Are you ditching class passes?
Not at all! Your existing passes will be in your Wellness Living account—let us know if you don’t see them! And you can still buy shareable ten-class passes. New ten-class passes expire one year from the date of purchase.
I am moving—can I get a refund on my remaining passes?
As per your receipt, class passes are nonrefundable. However, they are transferable, so if you would like to give (or sell) them to a friend, write us with your friend’s name.
Can I use my class pass for online yoga?
We have dozens of classes to stream online, but the system is siloed at a different business, completely separate from the studio, so your in-person passes don’t work. We still hope you’ll give these online classes a try!
I’m new to yoga. Where should I start?

When should I arrive?
Our doors open 10 minutes before each class starts. We close and lock the main door when class begins, so please budget a few minutes to arrive early. To protect the integrity of classes in session, we do not accommodate late arrivals.
Where should I park? Rack my bike?
You can park anywhere in the South Green development. If the lot in front of our building is full, park behind the orthodontist’s office, to the right of the driveway as you enter. The covered bike corral is near our space, in front of Craftboro Brewing Depot.
There is a lot for our building on the south side of Hunt Street, facing the long side of the building, as well as ample street parking. We have a QR code for you to scan at our front desk—this will give you two hours of free parking. After 5 p.m. and all day on weekends, you are welcome to park at the Durham Senior Center lot, directly across the street from our building. You’ll find bike racks on the east end of the building (to the right when you are facing the long side of the building, on Hunt).
What should I bring?
Please bring your own mat. If you have props you like to use, bring those, too.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable that lets you move around freely and that doesn’t bunch up around your face if you expect to get upside down. We have bathrooms for changing if you’re coming right from work.
Is your studio hot?
No. We offer room temperature yoga and, in classes where it’s appropriate, guide you to build internal heat. In Sanskrit, we call this internal heat tapas—it’s different from the Spanish meaning!
How should I register?
We now require that you sign up in advance online. Registration closes one hour before class start time. Because mat space is limited, we allow cancellations (in which your class credit reverts to your account) up to four hours before class start time. Within four hours, your account will be charged for the class.
Should I eat before class?
Not too much! There are many fantastic local eateries in walking distance to enjoy after class in both Carrboro and Durham.
Can I bring my kids?
Vaccinated kids 13 and up are welcome in our adult classes.
For liability reasons, we can’t allow children to wait in the studio or in the lobby while classes run.
If I sign up online and can’t make it, what should I do?
Click Manage Schedule at the top of the page—you can cancel from there up till four hours in advance. If it’s after that time, we appreciate you canceling anyway, since it lets us admit a student off the wait list.
I’m a teacher. Are you hiring?

I’m in yoga teacher training. Can I observe a class?
We find that a nonparticipating student changes the class dynamic, so we do not allow class observations. If you’d like to see how our wonderful staff teach, you can find dozens of classes with them to stream at Yoga Vibes.
